Recipes for Raised Garden Beds

Raised beds are the perfect to plant a variety of vegetables and herbs for a specific reason or recipe.  They are the perfect size and don’t take up a lot of space.  Because of this, raised beds can be placed on balconies, decks and landings and can be used by those who live in condos, apartments and other places that have limited outdoor growing space.

Here’s a great recipe for a salsa garden:

  • (4) Cilantro (Leaves of Coriander)
  • (16) Garlic
  • Jalapeno Pepper plant
  • (16) Onions
  • Hot Pepper plant
  • Bush Tomatoe plant

You should have just enough room to plant some Marigolds to give your bed just a touch of color and provide a bit of organic pest control.

What you don’t eat right away can easily be canned and out away for great salsa for the entire year.  If you do eat it all, you can always get the raised bed cover system to turn your bed into a mini greenhouse to extend the seasons growing period.
Here is another great garden salad recipe for raised beds that can be grown in as little as 8 weeks, dependent upon which type of parsley and onions you plant.

  • (16) Beets
  • (16) Radishes
  • (16) Carrots
  • (16) Onions
  • (9) Spinach
  • (1) Bush Tomatoes plant
  • (9) Bush Bean Plants
  • (4) Parsley
  • (4) Lettuce Plants

Growing with the end in mind is not only fun but purposeful and relaxing.  Using raised beds is also a great way to get started in gardening if you’re a beginner no matter where you live or how limited the space.  Start growing!
