As soon as winter breaks and spring comes forth, you will want to start spending some quality time outside in the park, by a lake or river and in your own backyard. One way to make your yard a wonderful oasis is to invest in a pergola kit that comes pre-drilled and ready to install. It’s easy because my wife and I installed one in our backyard a couple of years ago.

We are now collecting arbors and trellises for the flower gardens and beds and for the vegetable garden we put in last spring. I’ve been doing a lot of reading about vertical gardening and arbors work really well to expand the space you have for plants since some of those plants grow up a trellis or arbor and leave room for others to grow out. I’ve seen some great examples of this type of growing and am anxious to get started. Unfortunately, old man winter is still hanging around but I’m going to be ready!
